Zulu experience - Helping the Community

Another dimension to the tours and experiences that Theo Tours offers is the Zulu experience!

This is a Community Work Project that is based in Nkundusi Village during the week, combined with some spectacular tours and trips at the weekends, such as game drives, boat cruises, turtle tours (if in season) etc., which enables you to learn about the life of the Zulu people, help in a community that is far from any town or city and at the same time enjoy yourselves experiencing the diverse beauty of the surrounding area on a weekend tour with Theo Tours.

This project is structured so that you stay in the village during the week days getting involved in various tasks such as:

1. •Helping teaching and looking after the children in the crèche
   

2. •     Providing help with teaching tourism, conservation, English, IT and HIV Education in    the high school and primary school.
   

3. •     Community work, which may include making bricks, fencing, painting, farming and  possible refurbishment of community buildings.
   

4. •     Depending on your skills and the skills of the other visitors, other specific projects may be included, for example helping social workers in the village.
   

At the weekends you are taken on several exciting trips by Theo Tours, to either St Lucia, the home of iSimangaliso Wetland Park, Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park or Kosi Bay or a combination of all three, depending on how long you want to spend on the Zulu experience.
