iSimangaliso Wetland Park Game Drive - (3 / 4 hour time periods) - Cost R325pp


iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is on St Lucia’s doorstep, so game drives are available throughout the day. The drive will last approximately 4 hours and you can either start bright and early when the gates open and be picked up from your accommodation at 06.00 - 10.00, or if you want a more leisurely morning you can be collected at 08.00 - 12.00, or for those in a real holiday mood, you can be picked up at 10.00 - 14.00. Water and soft drinks will be provided during these drives.


An alternative is to go on a 3 hour late afternoon / sunset drive. On this drive, during the winter you will be collected at 15.00 and dropped off around 18.00 and during the summer you will be collected at 16.00 and dropped off at 19.00. This is due to the time the gates close during these seasons. On this drive you will stop at a view point for sunset and enjoy a sundowner drink.



iSimangaliso Wetland Park Game Drive to Cape Vidal - Cost R450pp


Cape Vidal is home to the most stunning beach where you can swim and go snorkelling in the shallow waters. It is also home to the rare Samango monkey. This drive takes you through iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you have a chance of seeing the “Big 4” (there are no lions in this park), to this beautiful spot at Cape Vidal. You will spend the morning enjoying relaxing on the beach, photographing the wildlife or swimming and snorkelling in the sea whilst Theo Tours prepares you a traditional South African braai. After you have feasted on the braai you will take a drive back through iSimangaliso Wetland Park, to see what other wildlife is out grazing in the park.


This is a full-day tour which includes soft drinks and lunch. You will be picked up from your accommodation at 08.00 and dropped off around 16.00.



Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park Game Drive - Full day cost R675pp / Half day cost R575pp


Your day will start bright and early, at approximately 05.00 (depending on the time of year) when you will be collected from your accommodation. Theo will drive you to Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Park, which is the oldest game reserve in South Africa. This is a “Big Five” game park so you will have the chance of seeing some of these magnificent animals in their natural environment.


The full-day tour includes breakfast and lunch and will see you dropped off at your accommodation by mid-afternoon.


The half-day tour includes breakfast and soft drinks and will see you dropped off at your accommodation by mid-day.



Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park Photography Game Drive - Cost R800pp


This is a game drive with a difference!


The afternoon / evening before the game drive there will be a workshop in St Lucia where you will be taught photography techniques, by a professional photographer, on how to photograph wildlife. The workshop will last 1-2 hours, depending on the number of people.


The game drive will start bright and early at approx. 05.00 (depending on the time of year) when you will be collected from your accommodation. Theo will drive you to Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Park, which is the oldest game reserve in South Africa. This is a “Big Five” game park so you have a chance of seeing these magnificent animals in their natural environment.


Throughout the drive the professional photographer will be helping you with any photography queries or questions you have and giving tips/guidance on what to do as the light changes, or the animals move.


This is a full-day tour which includes breakfast and lunch and you will be dropped off at your accommodation by mid-afternoon.



Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park & Cultural Village Experience - Cost R675pp


The details of your day

Your day will start bright and early at approx. 05.00 (depending on the time of year) when you will be collected from your accommodation. Theo will drive you to Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Park, which is the oldest game reserve in South Africa. This is a “Big Five” game park so you have a chance of seeing these magnificent animals in their natural environment.


After a couple hours of wonderful animal viewing Theo will stop at either one of the viewpoints or hides where you will enjoy breakfast whilst continuing to watch the animals.


After breakfast you will continue your game drive round the park leaving before midday, a time when the animals are less active.


You will head to Nkundusi Village for a cultural experience starting with a home-cooked lunch, followed by either a visit to the sangoma (spiritual healer) where you can ask what the future holds for you, or a visit to one of the local crèches where you will have the opportunity to sing, dance and play with the children.


This is a full-day tour which includes breakfast and lunch and you will be dropped off at your accommodation by mid-afternoon.
